This technique comes from Japan and dates from the 1990's. Keep the plant slightly moist but not to allow the plant to sit with its roots in the water. A delightful tropical delight that may arrive with a thick or twisted bark as shown.
Most of the plants consume about half the amount of water in winter compared to summer, so give less water during this period.
Keep the plant in a well-lit position but try to keep away from direct sunlight to avoid the leaves burn.
